In the artillery group, seen here from the west, the caisson with attached cannon, is drawn by four horses. From the other side it appears that the rear right horse is pulling back. Two of the three artillerymen grasp their seat with both hands, the third has his left hand on the leg of his companion as if to provide comfort.
