This is actually Solaasgjerdet which was separated from Solaas more than a century ago. The left-most building
was built by Ivar Solaas (Alert Solaas/Albert Solberg's father). The original house where Alert/Albert was born
was located between the two trees on the right edge of the photo. Part of the foundation is still visible. The tree on the
right is an elm which Haakon says Ivar was particularly fond of.
Standing between the trees is Haakon Solaas and Denise Solberg Gildon.
The top of Haakon's house is barely visible where the road disappears into the trees. That is the actual Solaas.
